Shakira Gatlin, the 18-year-old dancer from Dancing Dolls for Life (DD4L) passed away on February 3, 2022. She died due to a gunshot. Fans took to social media to mourn her death.

The late dancer, Shakira Gatlin’s mother confirmed the news of her death. Her mother, Erica Robinson took to Facebook to share the news of the same. She tagged her daughter and even uploaded a picture of her late daughter and her late husband, Shakira’s father.

Shakira Gatlin died due to a gunshot on the night of February 3 at Barnes Street. Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart revealed that a loaded handgun was mishandled in the presence of others and that killed the 18-year-old dancer.

Consequently, the news of her demise deeply stunned and shocked her fans. They took to social media to pay their condolences to the late dancer. Tributes have poured all over her Facebook page.

The dance academy has two studios and offers a variety of dance styles as mentioned. Dancing Dolls for Life (DD4L) boasts of a fan following of 419k on its Facebook page. Dianna, a dancer, established the dance studio. The name of the studio, however, comes from that of its founder. Dianna founded the academy in 2010 with just 24 students. Currently, the academy is home to more than 100 college students.
