The ‘Dancing On Ice’ star died on Friday. Frankie Poultney, a fellow skater shared the news on social media.
“Pro skaters are heartbroken today, we have lost a truly larger than life human being – an epic skater, husband, father, and my friend of 20 years – Sean Rice 7/20/72 – 1/14/22 who left too soon, but we will love you for a thousand years – all our thoughts are with Signey & Jodeyne,” read her post. In addition, she posted a video for the same.
However, the cause of his death is not known as of now.

Who was Sean Rice?
Sean Rice, a Canadian native was born on July 20, 1972. He was a professional ice-skater and a four-time Canadian fours champion. In addition, he shared the Canadian pairs bronze medal with Jodeyne Higgins. He was born in Ontario, Canada. Sean married Jodeyne Higgins and they have an 8-year-old daughter, Signey.
His skating career began in the 1990s. Post their retirement from competitive skating, the couple went on professional tours to Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Moreover, Sean starred in ITV’s Dancing on Ice in 2011 and 2012. He partnered with Angela Rippon in 2011. In the following year, he competed with British Olympic skier Chemmy Alcott.
