A seasoned Los Angeles firefighter died after first being rescued out from the home. By his colleagues and members of the crew early On Thursday when responding to an upstairs fire. As per LA County fire crews, Jonathan Flagler age 47, was summoned to a burning house in the 30700 area of Tarapaca Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, at around 2:50 a.m.
“We have been able to protect the household from within the flaming home,” LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn stated at a media briefing on Thursday, “however regrettably, one from our own Los Angeles County firemen devoted his  life there in the process.”

Veteran Los Angeles Firefighter Dies

Jonathan Flagler’s death was announced by the La County Fire Service in a tweet.

On Thursday, the La County Firefighters Local 1014 Twitter handle tweeted. “This is with a sorrow as we inform the demise of another one of our people. Brother Jonathan ‘Jon’ Flagler.”
“Brother Flagler was 47. He was a 21-year veteran Firefighter who has been recognized for his passion and sincerity towards the field. Prior to joining the LACOFD in October 2020. He served for 19 years with the Vernon Fire Department “the message went on to say.

 “This event is a sad reminder of the serious complication our members. And staff face each day as we fight to protect our neighborhoods and keep them secure”. “Brother, we’ll handle that from here. #WeShallNotForget.”

Jonathan Flagler leaves behind his wife, Jenny, as well as two sons, ages 15 and 13.

Prayers From Depatrment & Rescued

On Thursday evening, the La County Fire Service performed a march for the dead fireman. It was through Harbor-UCLA Medical Center towards the County Coroners.

“We are deeply saddened by the manner wherein he died. As well as the sadness that his entire family must be undergoing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family “One of it’s householders saved from the fire, Idelle Clark, told CBS2.

“We can live without it or recover whatever we lost in terms of material… that’s a totally different kind of grief than the one they’ve suffered “Clark went on. “We wish the family the best and therefore will keep him in our thoughts.”
