The Reason Behind Glenn Foster’s Arrest
Glenn’s arrest took place for speeding and evading police on the 3rd of December, 2021. Later, Pickens County (Alabama) police caught hold on Glenn Foster on the 5th of December, 2021. He was accused then, of running from the police, trying to resist his arrest. Furthermore, he was accused of allegedly beating another prisoner badly while trying to steal a sock from him.
Foster was taken to mental health care. He died the following day (according to the county coroner). Initially, Foster had a court appearance before Pickens County Judge Samuel Junkin. During his appearance, he was non-compliant and refused to respond to questions. Seeing his actions the Judge asked to move him to a mental care hospital as he could be harmful to himself and others.
Glenn Foster’s Cause Of Death
By the reports of the Pathologist, Dr. Baden, Glenn did not die of natural causes. On the contrary, on Friday a statement by the attorney Benjamin Crump, where he mentioned that Glenn Foster died of natural causes. Dr. Michael further added that there were signs of neck compressions and strangulation.
There are new learnings in the investigation that this may have links to black men dying in the Pickens County (Alabama) Police custody. On the other hand, there is no mention of what happened from the time the police held Glenn Foster on the 5th of December until his death on the 6th of December. It is all unclear.
Police Response And Public Reaction
Though the autopsy reports are out, it is not publicly out yet. Also, the Alabama police are yet to respond and comment on the situation. There is no word from the higher officials either.
The people are going crazy with anger. They are agitating on all social media platforms. Some even visited the Foster family. They wore black and gold outfits while they paid their respects. They even wore outfits that read, “Justice for Glenn”.
