Dylan Rowell, the 19-year-old teenager was a freshman at James Madison University. His sudden demise in the end of January shocked his family, friends, and acquaintances. There is little information regarding the cause of his death and there are many speculations regarding the same.

Who was Dylan Rowell?

Dylan Rowell, born on October 11, 2002, was a freshman at James Madison University. In addition to being a student, he was a swimmer, band member, and lifeguard as well. He was one of the three children of Dorothy C. Rowell and Joseph W. Rowell. He had a brother, sister, brother-in-law, and a nephew.

He was studying International Business at James Madison University. This university is based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. In addition, he was a part of the Swimming team of the university.

He attended Princess Anne High School and later graduated from Northfolk Collegiate School. Dylan participated in Fabulous Marching Cavaliers during his time at Princess Anne High School. He even played clarinet, tuba, and bass clarinet. Moreover, he was a member of the Club Swim Team there.

Throughout his college career, he was active in a variety of sports. Moreover, he won multiple awards and medals during his school days as well. He played ice hockey at Iceland and Chilled Ponds. Also, he was a lifeguard at Virginia Beach SPCA. Furthermore, he was the sheer supervisor of Ocean Beach Waterpark and Tijuana Flats.

He was known as Happy Dylan in his college for his sense of humor and his joyous expressions. Hence, it is an irony if he really committed suicide. Additionally, he loved animals and music, and dogs were his favorite pets.

Dylan Rowell’s death

Dylan Rowell died on January 31, 2022. Surprisingly, his family, friends, or acquaintances have not even revealed or addressed the cause of his death. As a result, there are speculations that he must have committed suicide. However, there is no confirmation for the same. Moreover, his family is yet to issue a statement in this regard.

His funeral service took place at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home of Tidewater Drive Chapel in Norfolk, Virginia. The same was revealed by his Legacy indexed obituary. Dylan’s visitation began at 10 am on the morning of February 5, 2022. Following his visitation, his funeral service began at 11 am. Moreover, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Virginia Beach SPCA received flowers and donations from his funeral service. Consequently, rumors circulated that he took his own life.

Lastly, his friends and acquaintances flooded social media and college portals with tribute messages.
