2 min readTrouble DTE, a rapper, was reportedly slain in his automobile on Saturday night. More information about the murder has yet to be released, and no arrests have been made.
When Trouble’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Sky revealed the news in an Instagram post that read, “Never would have imagined getting the call this morning,” social media followers were stunned. I’m at a loss for words. Skoob, I’m sorry this happened to you… I’ll be praying for your children and family.”
At the time of her death, Trouble was 35 years old. His family members have yet to issue an official statement, and details concerning his funeral have yet to be revealed.

Trouble DTE was an Atlanta-based rapper who was born Mariel Semonte Orr on November 4, 1987. He began rapping when he was only 14 years old.
December 17th, Trouble’s first mixtape, was released in April 2011. Complex magazine named the mixtape one of the top 25 mixtapes of 2011. Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka Flame, and Trae Tha Truth were featured on the track Bussin.
In August 2011, Mariel was named to Complex’s list of 15 New Rappers To Watch Out For and in 2013, he was named one of the 15 Atlanta Rappers You Should Know by XXL Magazine.
In 2015, he was featured on Lupe Fiasco’s album Tetsuo & Youth’s tune Chopper. Glasses Malone, Trae Tha Truth, Billy Blue, Buk, and Fam-Lay were also featured in the song. The album received excellent reviews from critics and debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
In 2016, Trouble DTE was featured on YFN Lucci’s tune Key to the Streets. It was the third single off Lucci’s Wish Me Well 2 mixtape, and it charted at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was voted one of the 50 best hip-hop songs of 2016 by XXL magazine, and it was ranked 56th on Vibe Magazine’s selection of the 60 best songs of 2016.
In 2016, he and Veli Sosa filmed a song video in North Carolina. Straight Out was the title of the video, which was taken from his 2016 mixtape Skoobzilla and featured ResseDaGreat. Director LookImHD shot the videos, and Big Bank Black made a guest appearance.
