“You” actress, 34, announced to her followers that she and her boyfriend, 41, are expecting a second child together.
Mitchell had announced the death of her grandmother, whom she called Gram, a week before the announcement.

On Monday, February 7th, Shay announced her pregnancy on Instagram.
As she expressed her joy and excitement about having a second child, the actress used her long title. She also remembered her grandmother, who died recently.
Dollface star Sarah Gadon announced the news on social media, where she beautifully reflected on both the “great cycle of life” and the recent passing of her grandmother, as well as observing her pregnancy.

She wrote that she cannot help but think that the universe knew she would need to experience another worldly joy to catch the blow of losing one of the most important people in her life. “this is proof that love, life, and loss can coexist deeply.”

Shay writes that each of us faces struggles and challenges in life. She expressed gratitude to all of her followers for their support and affection, which lifted her up during her darkest days, such as when she “miscarried” last year.
Who is Matte Babel?
Shay revealed to Fox News that she and Matte had known each other from their hometowns of Toronto and Providence, respectively.
He works in the music industry, based on his Instagram bio. As a member of the Dream Crew, he works on projects that are produced by Drake and Adel “Future” Nur.
He posts pictures from the sets of the music videos for Laugh Now Cry Later, where he’s accompanied by Drake.
In the pictures, it appears that Matte is close to Drake and that their relationship extends beyond business.
Following Drake’s daughter with Shay’s birth, Matte even attended Drake’s 33rd birthday party in 2019.
