It gathered more than 111 million viewers in its first month of release. The show was appreciated a lot by critics and viewers.

Lydia Ellery is a twitch streamer and content creator from London. Both her twitch channel and youtube channel are named- SquidGame. She is known for streaming murder mystery video games and retro games. Her Twitter username is Squidgaming. She has around 7 million subscribers on youtube and 42 thousand followers on twitch. She is now working in the Yogscast.
Squidgaming has worked with this name for the past 11 years and is now facing abuse because of her usernames. Even though she has worked hard as a streamer for almost 11 years she is considering changing her username.
Lydia Ellery tweeted on her official account and said, “Looks like I might have to change my handle after all. I’ve lost 2 amazing presenting opportunities because people don’t want to hire me with my “squid game” handle. This is really getting me down now.” She also said, “ First I get sent abuse, then I get banned and now I’m losing work”.
Apparently, huge fans of the show are harassing her because they think she has stolen and copied the name of her show. In a recent interview with BBC, she said, “the companies who were giving me this recent role specifically told me I didn’t get the work because of my Squid Game handle”.
People are tagging her in the posts and tweets related to the show and she also has been receiving a lot of texts because of her username. there have been numerous attempts to hack her account since people want to “Gain Access”. The streamer also mentioned that her Search Engine Optimization ( SEO) is also totally ruined. “If you search for me and my brand which I’ve had for over 10 years, all you get is the TV show”, she said.
