Lateche Norris is a 20- year-old young woman. Her father’s name is Walter Callum and her mother’s name is Cheryl Walker. She has a boyfriend named, Joseph (Joey) Smith. Her boyfriend is 26-year-old. Norris along with her boyfriend is an aspiring tattoo artist. She is also a Tiktoker. She has been in the headlines for a few weeks after she was gone missing on November 4.

Norris flew to her boyfriend, Joey Smith to San Diego. She came there to help her boyfriend. As her boyfriend was forced to live on the street after leaving a rehab facility.

Missing Lateche Norris Found Safe

According to SDPD, Lateche Norris was last seen on November 4, about 11:30 p.m with her boyfriend, Joey Smith. They were seen at a 7-Eleven Store at 222 Park Blvd. Her parents lost contact with her. According to her mom, there was a fight happened between her daughter and Smith.

Norris made the last call to her mother on November 5 from an unknown number. Her mother told, Norris told her about having a fight with her boyfriend for hours last night before. Norris even promised her mother to call back but she didn’t call her back.

Lateche Norris’s disappearance got great attention, also from Joe Petito, whose daughter Gabby Petito was found dead when went on a road trip with her fiance Brian Laundrie earlier this year. Walker then on Facebook, called her daughter’s boyfriend “troubled”. Walker added, Smith struggles with addiction and he even kept Norris away previously from contacting her family.

Norris said, “Smith can’t let her breathe! He even breaks her phone. Over the summer in Santa Cruz, he was the one asking her to commit ‘phone-free weekends’. While they deemed Lateche Norris at risk, The San Diego Police Department said, they had no evidence of Norris being a victim of crime.

The news has been confirmed by Norris’s father, that Lateche Norris and Joey Smith have been found and are safe. Cheryl Walker, Lateche’s mom has met with two of them in California. She shared a statement of thanks for helping in finding and reuniting her daughter. She added on Facebook, that Joey has not hurt her daughter and asked for privacy and thought it important to confirm all as Joey was being compared with Brian Laundrie. It’s a relief for them to find their daughter safe.
