The Australian Aboriginal woman who has blonde hair and fair skin is ripped into trolls who claim she can’t be Indigenous. Kate Maree Cooper told her followers recently that her appearance doesn’t take anything away from her Aboriginal heritage.
Kate Maree Cooper has hit back at internet trolls who claimed she was pretending to be Aboriginal because she has light skin and blue eyes – saying the amount of milk you put in coffee doesn’t matter since it’s still just coffee.
She replied to a user who questioned her heritage, saying she identifies as Aboriginal. She said that her family is from the Wirdajuri mob, a group of indigenous Australians from the central state of New South Wales.
In response to a comment made by a user, she responded that she thought she was Indigenous. However, she says it was unjustified and hurtful.
‘It’s not okay, I identify as an Aboriginal woman,’ she said.
Who is Kate Maree Cooper?
Kate Maree Cooper, who has gathered more than 408.5K followers on TikTok, said that she is proud to be a member of the Wirdajuri mob, an Indigenous group in central NSW.
According to her, it shouldn’t be her appearance that detracts from her traditions to post content about her Aboriginal roots.
Her followers were quick to defend the 22-year-old, saying she handled the trolling with dignity.

If the person in question is not indigenous, understood, but the shame of fair-skinned people is not good. “Keep pushing sis,” said another user.
Another user added that they were also indigenous and also pale. They found it strange that there were only non-indigenous people who would comment on these kinds of things.
“I have never met an indigenous person who questions it. Keep doing you, sis.”
In her comment, Cooper said she didn’t want people to think she was rude,’ but just simply ‘wanted to educate’ them.
@katemareecooper Big thanks to all mob and supporters🖤💛♥️
