How and When Did The Criticism Start?
Suni Lee revealed on December 26, 2021, that she is in a relationship with Jaylin Smith. She is a gold medalist from the Olympics while Jaylin Smith is a USC football star. Even though we are living in 2022, racial criticism still prevails.
Suni Lee revealed on TikTok that she has been facing quite a lot of criticism since she went public with her relationship. It is quite overwhelming for her. Lee reportedly said that the hate she is receiving is more from the Asian community than the rest of the world.

Jaylin Smith currently is a member of USC Trojans, who are eleven-time national champions. He joined the team back in 2020. Smith is famous as a junior cornerback, wide receiver, and running back at the Bishop Alemany High Mission Hills, Los Angeles.
He performed the role of Coach Snoop in Snoop Dogg’s Netflix documentary on Snoop Youth Football League.
This role helped him to come into the spotlight. He overcame the death of his mother to help clinch the trophy. His performance bagged him offers from nine universities altogether and he decided to go for USC. It is reported that her mother died in a hit-and-run case a few years ago.

She shreds on a TikTok video made on their love that she has been dealing with racism and criticism for being in the relationship.

Lee commented on this that it made her happy and she received so much hate as the haters support her when it is beneficial for them not when it comes to her happiness. She thanked him in the end for the video.
