Not just this but had a post of political editor at BBC and as a national editor on ITV. But, last year she quit ITV to set off as Director of Strategic Communications at the Treasury. According to reports the party happened days before Tier 4 of lockdown started. This affected many people in London and other parts of the country to cancel Christmas as they were told to limit the contact and follow the rules.
At the press conference in the video, Allegra said that She never intended to follow and obey the rules that people were doing everything to obey. She further said that she is aware of the frustration and anger that people feel. One of the reporters asked her about the party to that she replied with an embarrassed smile and a few giggles she went home. Further, she said this fictional party was a business meeting and it was not socially distanced.
This infuriated many people in the UK and demanded her resign. A spokesperson said that there was no Christmas party and covid-19 protocols were obeyed at all times.
