Who Is Dontrell Briggs? American Idol Contestant Pays Tribute To His Godmother

Briggs is a 26-year-old explicit backing assistant from Maxton, North Carolina. The show previously lowered his audition clip online, showcasing Briggs’s reimbursing contribution to his dead godmother Betty Morrison.
His message and voice stroked the judges’ souls, particularly Lionel Richie, who clasped him after his audition.
How did Dontrell Briggs’ godmother die?
The video captioned Briggs arriving at his audition compartment holding up a crumpled covering. Morrison expired last year as she was undergoing acidosis. Briggs told that she took advantage of a big portion of his existence and was constantly there for him:
“I miss her a lot. She splashed a very enormous portion in my life…. Not a day that I could not contact her, and she would be straight there for me.”
Speaking about her condition, Briggs said that-
“She fought for a lengthy time. She didn’t let anything avoid her. She constantly maintained getting on. To misplace her was relatively tough to deal with.”
He acknowledged that American Idol was his imagination and if he got a golden ticket, his dead godmother would celebrate with the angels in paradise. He remotely budgeted that Morrison couldn’t descend but utilized to croon with him during their car rides.
Morrison had sarcoidosis, which hardly influences the individual’s lungs and lymph nodes. According to the Mayo Clinic website, there is no remedy for this medical circumstance.
