What Is R/Place? Final 2022 Image Revealed As The Game Ended
2 min readAs the game ended and spectators were left with a blank canvas, the final 2022 image for R/Place was unveiled. The game, which began on April 1 and ended on April 5, had enthralled Reddit. People initially mistook it for an April Fool’s joke. They immediately understood, however, that it was real, and they did not want to miss out. Josh Wardle, the man behind the popular Wordle game that has taken over the world and was recently purchased by the New York Times, came up with the ingenious idea.
WHAT EXACTLY IS R/PLACE?
In 2017, R/Place was created for the first time. It was subsequently used as a doormat for five years before being resurrected in 2022. As soon as people learned about the game or puzzle, it became highly popular. Users that were logged in had to fill the white blank canvas with colored pixels, which would eventually result in a finished image. Users could place one pixel at a time, once every five minutes, by tapping on a tile.

THE FINAL IMAGE FOR 2022 HAS BEEN REVEALED
The final image, as seen above, combines several elements. There are numerous things that users can see, ranging from a map of the United States to the BTS logo. People will not be able to see the final image if they visit the r/place page now because it simply shows a white canvas. The reason for this is that the game has ended. In their messages, the moderator verified the same.
USERS ARE EXPECTING IT TO RETURN SOON
There is currently no word on whether the game will return. Users, on the other hand, were eager for another chance to see it. Given the five-year gap between the last time, the page was active and now, it’s probable that users will have to wait a little longer for the game to be revived.
