Tom Parker, the lead singer of ‘The Wanted,’ has died at the age of 33. On March 30, Parker’s wife Kelsey Hardwick, as well as his bandmates, reported his death on social media. Parker revealed in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer, at stage four.
He was diagnosed after experiencing two seizures at the time. He said in January 2021 that the tumor has shrunk considerably. The star died of brain cancer less than two years after the announcement.

Parker was diagnosed with glioblastoma at stage four
Tom Parker was detected with stage four glioblastoma in October 2020. At the time, he described the diagnosis as “terminal.”
Parker remained an unrelenting optimist despite the physicians’ pessimism. He posted upbeat updates on his Instagram account, which Hardwick also shared.
Last week, Parker said that he has written a book “about living”. It’s a book about finding hope in every situation and living your best life, no matter what. It will show how persevering in the face of hardship is possible when you believe in hope and dare to dream. “
Parker also appeared on The Wanted’s biggest hit, “Glad You Came,” earlier this month as part of a reunion tour in the United Kingdom.
“Dream Team,” he wrote with bandmates Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George, and Jay McGuiness in an Instagram post on Monday.

Tom Parker, who was born on August 4, 1988, in the northern English town of Bolton, aspired to be a musician and auditioned for the British talent program “The X Factor” at the age of 16. He entered a boy band contest with hundreds of others five years later.
Parker was one of five young guys picked to form The Wanted after rising above the others. “All Time Low,” their debut single, reached number one in the United Kingdom.
“Glad You Came,” the group’s biggest American hit, was released in 2011. It was their second number one song in the United Kingdom and reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Wanted broke up and went their separate ways in 2014, shortly after the release of their third album, “Word of Mouth.”
Tom Parker and Hardwick married in 2018 and welcomed their first child, Aurelia, in 2019. Parker’s second child, Bodhi, was born just weeks after he was diagnosed with cancer.
All revenues from the reunion tour will be donated to cancer-fighting organizations, according to The Wanted.
