The hashtag “RIP Tom Holland” was started by a tweet that claimed Tom Holland will pass away in 2022. The actor is still alive and well, though.
Social media appears to have pulled off the feat once more by convincing users that a star had passed away. On the platform, death hoaxes have previously gone viral.
Tom was most recently joined to the list of famous people who have experienced this, including Lil’ Jay, Eminem, and others in the past.
One more ‘Tom Holland Dead’ probe
Due to a post on the Instagram account big chungles, rumors of Tom’s passing started to spread online. The post included an image of the actor and captioned, “Tom Holland 1996-2022.” Anyone who views the picture for the first time can be duped.
For further credibility, the official wrote an emotional statement in which he declared Tom to be his favourite Spider-Man and added that the actor has always been his hero. Additionally, the hashtag “#liveanotherdayspiderman” was included.
It didn’t take long for the message to catch the attention of other users as the platform has over 185K followers. The post was then shared by others, and some people created their own modified images. The hashtag “RIP Tom Holland” was born as a result of this.
The actor is still alive and in good health
Tom is well and alive. He was, regrettably, only a victim of a social media death fake that went viral.
In actuality, the picture that was circulated around for the fake post was the one the actor had posted a week earlier on Instagram. Tom mentioned the T-shirt from The Brothers Trust in it. The NGO wants to draw attention to underappreciated charity.
Tom was attempting to generate money by selling goods in order to support various charities that committed their time and efforts to a cause.
