Mellencamp’s method was criticized by one of her followers

“I am being truthful with my path,” Teddi Mellencamp wrote in response to the critic. Do you want me to lie and say the loose skin on my neck has vanished? That is not my personality. I am not the person to follow if you only want to follow those who show themselves through a filtered version of themselves.”

She went on to say that the surgery had nothing to do with “going all in on your life” and that she would continue to assist others in reaching their objectives.

“Do you appreciate my being upfront about my path or would you rather I simply pretend I accomplished nothing?” she asked her followers.

Teddi Mellencamp took a test to see if she had melanoma on her back

The operation comes two months after the actress had a skin cancer scare when she had a test to see if she had melanoma on her back.

“I had been avoiding [getting my skin checked] for a very long time because of my own anxiety,” Mellencamp said at the time. “But when [Kyle Richards] saw my back and it had changed colors again, she immediately took me to the doc who said it looks like melanoma and did a big removal,” Mellencamp said.

She delivered the excellent news a few days later that her melanoma was “in situ,” meaning the cancer cells were localized in that spot of her skin and had not spread any farther!
