Tame One who was well-known for his relationship with the group Artifacts has recently passed away. He was fifty-two years old.

The Artifacts Tame One is no more

Unfortunately, Tame One, a founding member of the New Jersey-based Hip Hop collective Artifacts has died. However, no cause of his death has been announced as of yet.

Moreover, Rah Digga confirmed the news of the demise of Tame One while sharing a heartfelt tribute to him on her official Instagram account.

She said, ‘I usually don’t race to the internet to post news like this when I’m in the middle of feeling it…but we gonna give this Jersey legend his muthaf**kin flowers!!.’

In addition, she continued, ‘Hold your head @el_da_sensei. Q#RIPTameOne #Artifacts #LegendsNeverDie #BrickCity #JerseyShit #YouHadToBeOutside.’

Tame One’s friends and colleagues mourn his death

Many friends of Tame One took to different social media accounts to publicly mourn the death of the trailblazing MC.

Dante Ross shared, ‘Rest East Tame One of the mighty Artifacts crew…Had the pleasure of working with him many moons ago. My deepest condolences to his closest friends and family.’

Furthermore, Statik Selektah mentioned, ‘If you ever tagged your name with a magnum marker then you were connected to what Artifacts is to us. Tame One r.i.p.’

Additionally, Just Blaze, a fellow New Jersey native, and producer wrote, ‘RIP my big bro and hometown hero Tame One @tamerdizzle of the mighty Artifacts / Boom Skwad.’

He went on to recall, ‘He and @____.senseifromnj were the first 2 signed artists to ever rhyme on something of mine back in the Pipeline nightclub days in Newark thanks to @maliqmania and @black45nj_, along with the Outsidaz shortly after that.’

Just Blaze added, ‘That happening gave me the confidence and belief that I could possibly do this music thing for real. Fast forward almost 30 years later and I’m proud to call him a friend as well as still be a fan.’

More about Tame One

Tame One was born Rahem Brown in Newark, New Jersey. He was a co-founder of the Hip-Hop group Artifacts along with a member of The Weathermen and Leak Bros.

Artifacts titled their debut album Between a Rock and a Hard Place and released it on 25th October 1994. In addition, they dropped their sophomore album, That’s Them on 15th April 1997.

Unfortunately, shortly after the album’s release, the group announced that they have disbanded.
