Today Show fans are not seeing the program they are accustomed to watching each day the week of 28th November, as not exclusively is Al Roker still not back, yet Savannah Guthrie is missing too. The star was not in her standard seat at NBC studios and has uncovered the genuine purpose for her nonappearance as being bedridden with the she believes to be the flu. In addition to the fact that she is away from Today, yet she needed to miss the yearly Rockefeller Tree Lighting Function, which was intended to be facilitated by Mario Lopez, rather than Al, alongside Savannah, Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin on 30th November.

In an Instagram post, Savannah Guthrie shared a photo showing her high fever with her fans. Despite having a temperature of over 101o, she rests and holds up her thermometer to the camera while wrapped in blankets. According to her caption, she has been sick since Monday. It’s so sad that I won’t be able to attend the tree lighting today. Hopefully, it will pass soon! Miss you all, the longtime host said. As she continued to maintain that she would watch the tree get lit up for the first time, even if from bed, she received support from fans and co-workers alike.

With the caption, UGH – flu or something like it since Monday, Savannah Guthrie shared an image of a thermometer reading 101.8 F on Instagram. It makes me so sad to miss the tree lighting TODAY. Hopefully, it will pass soon! Definitely miss everyone.
