What Happened to Lil Yachty? Rapper’s van crashes on way to Rolling Loud Miami

Rolling Loud Miami 2022, one of the most prestigious hip-hop events in the nation, began on Friday, July 22 at the Hard Rock Stadium. However, things got off to a rocky start for the famed event as one of the musicians, Lil Yachty, was involved in an accident.
When the incident occurred, Lil Yachty was apparently traveling with his crew to Rolling Loud Miami. In a few videos that found their way online, the Georgian was seen quickly switching to another vehicle after having his black van seriously damaged. Following the sad mishap, social media users immediately expressed their concern for his recovery. Others, though, made jokes about the 24-year-old rapper’s music saving the festival. Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Kid Cudi have been tapped as the headliners for three different days of Rolling Loud Miami 2022.
Is Lil Yachty okay?
One of the musicians at this year’s Rolling Loud Miami, Lil Yachty, was traveling there in a black van with his crew. Although it’s unclear exactly what happened, the rapper’s van was entirely wrecked on the right side in the trending videos that appeared on Twitter. The car was out of control and unable to turn.

The footage also shows Lil Yachty quickly boarding another black van as his entourage exits the damaged vehicle. The “Speed Me Up” hitmaker has not yet commented on the event on his social media accounts, but it was said that he was alright and gave a performance at the prestigious festival.
The co-founders of Rolling Loud, Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler, were contacted by the publication Deadline to provide insight into Kanye’s decision to withdraw from the festival. We anticipated Ye’s performance at Rolling Loud Miami in 2022. He and his staff and I worked on the performance for months. Sadly, Ye has decided he will no longer perform, they said in a joint statement on his departure. “This is the first headliner to ever cancel our event, and while we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best,” the duo continued. We are excited to have Kid Cudi perform as the main attraction in Miami and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.

Twitter users flocked to the platform to discuss Lil Yachty’s vehicle accident. One concerned fan put in, “Prayers for Yachty and everyone on the ride + private comments,” as another added, “Omg hope is fine.” “Nahh we can’t loose another legend this soon,” the subsequent tweet read. Hope the vehicle is fine, a user posted in the background.
