Lauren Harries’ mother, Katy, took to her official Twitter account on Friday to beg fans to keep her daughter in their thoughts while she recovers from the operation.

She wrote, ‘Please pray or send good thoughts to my precious daughter Lauren @Laurenharries. Who is recovering from emergency brain surgery today.’

For the unversed, Harries rose to precocious fame as a 12-year-old expert on antiques while he was known as James. She also made an appearance on the Antiques Roadshow and Wogan.

However, Harries eventually underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2003.

In addition, the television personality shared that it was ‘dangerous’ when she underwent surgery that converts male anatomy to female anatomy at the age of 23.

She said, ‘It is a big operation and when I had it done all those years ago it was more dangerous as they didn’t know enough about it.’

She continued, ‘There was talk that if I had it done I would have a heart attack in my 30s as my body wouldn’t be able to deal with it.’

Additionally, she mentioned, ‘To me, it was like get me in the kitchen, get a vet, get whoever, let’s get it done, in those days it cost me £20,000 but I think it was more than it is now.’

Fans of Lauren Harries were quick to pour in their love and concern for the television personality after learning that she recently has to go through an emergency brain surgery.

Meanwhile, Harries was working on an autobiography last year. Additionally, she alleged in the summer of last year that Rylan Clark in particular should be ‘worried’.

She stated, ‘He has been mean to me. I gave him a lot of time. I knew him from when he started out and thought he was a friend.’

The Welsh star’s other major projects have consisted of a music single, titled I Am A Woman, which was released in 2015.
