What Happened to Lane Fernandez? Former ‘Teen Mom’ Star Dies at 28

Lane Fernandez, the ex-boyfriend of Malorie Beaver from Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, died three weeks after welcoming a son with his wife. He was 28 years old at the time.
Kylee Rose Fernandez, Lane Fernandez’s widow, confirmed the devastating news in a Facebook post on Monday, expressing her grief over her husband’s death.
“Without you, baby, I’m completely lost… I adore you to the moon and back, and I’m confident you’re keeping an eye on us. I’ll never forget you, “she penned “You’ve always been the one.”
“Nolyn, Emerson, and I love you so deeply, and you were an incredible father, dog dad, and husband,” she said, referring to Lane’s daughter from his relationship with Malorie as well as their newborn baby.
Kylee Rose Fernandez said, “You’ll always be my rock and best friend.” “More than anything, baby, I miss you.”
Rachel Beaver used her Instagram Stories to share this devastating message
Rachel Beaver, Malorie’s sister, also shared the news of Lane Fernandez’s death on her Instagram Stories.
“I can’t even begin to convey the sadness I feel right now,” she wrote above a photo of the MTV star and his and Malorie’s kid, Emerson, swimming in a pool. Lane, you were taken from us far too soon… rest in peace.”
Malorie, 22, does not appear to have commented about Lane’s death on social media. She did not respond to demands for comment right away.
The ex-couple had a tense co-parenting relationship
Lane and Kylee were allegedly kept from visiting Emerson by Malorie.
Kylee told the newspaper in July 2021, “We ask Malorie to see her and she has us blocked.”
“She ignores us or says, ‘Oh, Emerson doesn’t want to talk to you,’ when she decides to unblock us.”
“Emmy has a father and stepmother who adore her and love her wholeheartedly,” she continued. Malorie chooses to let her envy stand in the way of her child’s enjoyment, which is not only sad, but also a terrible level of parenting.”
During Seasons 2 and 3 of “Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant” in 2020 and 2021, Malorie and Lane Fernandez attempted to work on their relationship.
MTV, the network that created the reality television franchise, did not respond to demands for comment right away.
At this moment, the cause of Lane’s death is unknown.
