He added, “Because the comments were made in the locker room, they were made on the ice, they were made around the arena with all different people of all different backgrounds- players, staff, media in the presence.”

The encounter between Beach and Aldrich that was commissioned by the Blackhawks and carried out by the former U.S attorney Reid Schar took place on 8th May 2010.

The report says that Beach was invited by Aldrich to his apartment. He offered dinner and drinks to Beach and told him “he had the power to get onto the Blackhawks’ roster.” All this was followed by turning on the pornography. The 20-year-old Beach was threatened by Aldrich with a souvenir baseball bat before forcibly performing oral s*x on him.

Beach said, “I needed to act like I enjoyed the s*xual encounter, or I would never play in the NHL or walk again.” He has added this statement in a lawsuit file against the Blackhawks this year.

Kyle Beach On This Incident

After Kyle Beach filed a lawsuit against Aldrich, the encounter was considered consensual by Aldrich, but Kyle beach denies it. Beach earlier told the senior staffers and other higher authorities of Blackhawks about everything that happened with him. But they decided not to address this issue until after the playoffs.

Beach told the media about his feeling of distraught and on edge during the days as he was noticing the other team was not taking his allegation seriously.

He said, “to be honest, I was scared mostly. I was fearful as my career was threatened. I felt alone and dark. It is tough to recall these moments. Mostly, I felt like I was alone and there was nothing I could do and nobody to turn to for help. As a 20-year-old, you could never imagine being put in this situation by somebody who is supposed to be there to help you and make you a better hockey player, and person, and help you build your career.”

As per reports, after a month, just after five days of Chicago winning the Stanley Cup, the human resource director of Blackhawks offered Aldrich the option to resign or face termination if Beach’s accusation proves to be true. Aldrich chose to resign. But still, he was allowed to participate in postseason celebrations. He even received a play-off bonus and a salary for several months.
