Her children, William “True” Stevenson, 30, and Lillie Price Stevenson, 28, shared the news on their mother’s social media accounts Monday evening, announcing that she had passed away after a cancer battle discovered only recently. With her closest family by her side, she fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty that she will never stop loving life and looking forward to new adventures. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for taking such good care of her. Kirstie Alley was married to Parker Stevenson from 1983 to 1997, and they had two children together. Her first marriage was to Bob Alley from 1970 to 1977.

In 1987, Kirstie Alley became famous for the role of Rebecca Howe in Cheers. As Shelley Long’s replacement, she remained on the show until its end. Her role in the series earned her both a Golden Globe and an Emmy. She portrayed Lieutenant Saavik, a Vulcan Starfleet officer, in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in 1982. After that, she appeared in smaller films such as One More Chance, Blind Date, and Runaway. Alley also starred in Veronica’s Closet in 1997. She starred in her own show titled Kirstie later in her career. The Masked Singer was her last TV appearance earlier this year.
