Jessica Simpson’s Pottery Barn ad sparks concern among fans

Jessica Simpson took to her Instagram profile on Thursday to share the new Pottery Barn advertisement in which she features.

However, instead of supportive comments, the singer and actress met with worried remarks from many fans who suggested that she looked too frail in the clip.

The 42-year-old mother of three began with, ‘Hi, I’m Jessica Simpson, welcome to my daughter Birdie’s room, designed by Pottery Barn Kids and a little bit of me.’

In addition, she continued, ‘I was really drawn to the geometric prints and the color scheme. This really, to me, is Birdie’s personality. Thank you all for seeing Birdie Mae Johnson’s adorable room.’

If you didn’t know, Simpson shares three children with her husband Eric Johnson, with whom she tied the knot in July 2014.

Besides that, the With You hitmaker first gave birth to a daughter Maxwell (10), then a son Ace (9), and another daughter naming her Birdie (2).

Fans react to Jessica Simpson’s Pottery Barn new ad

Fans filled the comment section of Jessica Simpson’s Pottery Barn post with concern messages. They mostly remarked on her speech and weight.

Moreover, they implied that not only her voice doesn’t sound normal but also the difference in her physical appearance.

A user wrote, ‘Why is she talking like that now?’

While a second fan said, ‘It’s weird, it’s in all the videos where she speaks. Like she’s struggling to say the right words.’

A third one noted, ‘Respectfully…she looks fragile.’

However, Simpson’s loyal fans were quick to come to her defense following the online attack.

One fan claimed, ‘It’s sad that all these comments are about her looks. It’s nobody’s business. I wish people would be nicer.’

Moreover, someone else pointed out, ‘If she has an eating disorder it’s not her fault so these comments don’t help to ridicule her weight gain after her pregnancies.’

Meanwhile, Simpson started a weight loss journey three years ago which resulted in her dropping 100 pounds.

She shared, ‘I went to a nutritionist and needed to get my eating habits in order.

Additionally, she said, ‘I feel like my old self before I had kids and all the hormones went crazy. I feel younger, actually.’
