Knight’s family revealed his passing through an agency representative on Thursday night in Los Angeles. At this time, there is no release of more information, including the cause of death. The representative said, “Knight’s loving ones beg that their privacy please be maintained during this tough time.”
Knight’s career was going well, and his star was rising. After penning scripts for a number of popular television programs, including ABC’s Black-ish and Netflix’s critically acclaimed bawdy comedy Big Mouth, Knight transitioned to co-creating, executive producing, and acting in the new Peacock series Bust Down.
The series, in which he co-created the lead role with Chris Redd, Sam Jay, and Langston Kerman, centres on a group of pals doing low-paying work in a casino in Gary, Indiana. It made its debut in March. Knight collaborated with Jay on the HBO series Pause as well. with Sam Jay acting, writing, and serving as co-executive producer.

RIP Jak Knight. I used to see him with his backpack on at all the LA shows when he was literally just a kid. He was funny from the start and always had on an incredible smile. Very sad to read of his passing. Prayers to his family and go check out his comedy.
