Deon Lendore, a three-time Olympic racing athlete, died unexpectedly in a three-car incident in Texas, according to reports. Lendore was only 29 years old at the time of his death. On Monday, DeonLendore was traveling westward on FM 485 in Milam Country in his 2015 Volkswagen Jetta.
Once it exceeded the center line and “broadsided a car” heading the other way, according to the Texas Security agency. Lendore continues to slide so over the center line, colliding head-on with a 2018 Infiniti Vehicle.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Lendore was confirmed dead there at the site. As well as the Infiniti’s driver, a 65-year-old lady, was taken to a local hospital with “disabling wounds”. The vehicle that really was sideswiped did not sustain any damage.

The Trinidadian runner has participated in three Olympics. Such as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and earned bronze there in the 4×400 meter relay. In the London 2012 Olympic games. Lendore is a three-time global indoors bronze medallist. As well as won a silver medal there in World 4x400m in 2015. He was another multi-time champion at Texas A&M. And holds the position as a volunteering trainer for student-athletes there in 400 and 800-meter dashes.

“Wow… Rest in Power,” commented 2x Champion Gwen Berry on an online media platform in response to the devastating news.
“One of the most important lessons I learned this year was the value of LIVING,” Berry added. “Do whatever you want… struggle through what you really want… love whomever you want.” Don’t just Exist to DIE. After you LIVE, then you DIE. Since then, I’ve become much happy.”
“We are incredibly sad by the loss of Deon Lendore. Who used to be a member of the PUMA Group since 2017,” PUMA said in a release.
“We are proud that he selected us to become a piece of his outstanding track and field journey for such a long time. His family is in our prayers. Rest peacefully, dear friend.”
