Cedric McMillan, the winner of the Arnold Classic, died at the age of 44, according to Generation Iron.

Fans in the bodybuilding industry throughout the world are mourning the bodybuilder’s untimely death.

Cedric McMillan has previously discussed his “near-death” experience and heart problems. Due to his health, he had postponed his return to competitive bodybuilding.

Cedric’s family confirmed his death to GI. His death has not been linked to a specific cause.

Cedric McMillan was a popular 21st-century bodybuilder. He was most famous for resurrecting the “classic” appearance.

He won the renowned Armold Classic 2017, defeating well-known players such as Dallas McCarver, Maxx Charles, and Lionel Beyeke.

Due to some health difficulties, the bodybuilder decided to concentrate on his recuperation, delaying his comeback to competition.

The bodybuilder has exposed his health problems in the past

Cedric disclosed that he had developed COVID-19, which caused troubles with his heart and lungs, in an interview with GI after masquerading as a guest instead of competing in November 2021.

In the year 2020, he tested positive for the virus. But it wasn’t until later that he began to have breathing problems, and he was diagnosed with Pneumonia.

Cedric was even put on life support, which was tragic. “I was practically dead,” he stated about the experience.

He healed from his health concerns and returned to the Armed Forces National 2021 as a guest pose.

Tributes to the late star are coming in

Cedric’s death came as a shock to the bodybuilding community.

As fans and loved ones grieve the loss of the great man, Twitter is flooded with tributes to the late champ.

“Rest in peace Cedric Mcmillan, another great figure in the industry gone,” fellow bodybuilder Schitzo Lifter tweeted. Let’s all do 5 additional reps today for Cedric.”

“R.I.P. to Cedric McMillan, one of my favorite bodybuilders and the best personality in professional bodybuilding,” wrote another.

“I still can’t believe Cedric McMillan went away today!” one person added. In the bodybuilding field, he was one of the finest. RIPā€
