The drums played by Oliver Shane Hawkins, the son of Taylor Hawkins were a tribute from his son to him post the death of Taylor this year. The show of Shane with Foo Fighters and other celebs was a hit. As it introduced the talent of Shane on drums it simultaneously even made all remember the great Taylor Hawkins.

Taylor Hawkins died unexpectedly in March this year
Taylor Hawkins, popular as an American musician and a rock drummer for the band Foo Fighters was a famous artist who died earlier this year in March. Which certainly left a void in the music industry, especially Foo Fighters. However, recently a special tribute was given to him.
Post the death of Taylor Hawkins, fans of him have been missing him as the drummer for Foo Fighters. Yet, Foo Fighters recently on Saturday came back with a show having a special drummer in place of Taylor this time that won everyone’s heart.
Taylor Hawkins’ son Oliver Shane Hawkins played drum on “My Hero”
It was this Saturday during a show that had Foo Fighters performing. That the band introduced a new special drummer to play during the show. In London’s Wembley Stadium, Foo Fighters’ anthem My Hero was played. But before beginning the song a black and white pic of Taylor Hawkins and Shane Hawkins is displayed on the screen.
During the song “My Hero”, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl introduced all with the new drummer for that night Oliver Shane Hawkins . Shane is their 16-year-old son of Taylor. As Dave went on to perform with My Hero song. Shane played the drums to pay a tribute to his late father.

As Oliver Shane Hawkins played the drums, Dave went on to say that he hasn’t seen anyone play drums this hard before. The event in London just didn’t have Shane Hawkins and Foo Fighters to lit up the stage. Rather we had Travis Barker, Kesha, Paul McCartney, Wolfgang Van Halen, and more.
Further, apart from the one tribute to Taylor Hawkins this Saturday, the Foo Fighters are planning for yet another one. As they’ll have another tribute to Taylor Hawkins on 27th September this year at the Kia Forum.
