Recently a video is going viral online of a TikTok user who was being followed by a stranger in Union Square in New York City. The TikToker is a woman and the aggressive man following her threatened to slit her throat. This video was shared on social media by the username @shamsiaaaa on Thursday. This viral video has gained more than 1.1 million views.

The woman, who shared this video, wrote a caption below the content. It says, “it started when I was sitting and minding my business. He kept looking. He then asked me, ‘Ma’am are you OK’. And I said, ‘who, me?’. And then he followed me and even threatened me aggressively.”
In the viral video, it is seen that the lady, who handles the social media account of @shamsiaaaa, is walking away from the stranger, who was following her.

In the comment section, @shamsiaaaa told what happened during that time. According to her, She was going through her social media and that man was constantly staring at her because of which she was scared. She said, “when he got up, something told me to get up and walk away then he came and stood in front of me and started walking away and I pulled my phone out.”

@shamsiaaaa posted another TikTok video in which a woman was laughing at her as she saw her being followed by that stranger. @shamsiaaaa explained that she was trying to meditate while scrolling her social media account sitting at Union Square Park.
That man asked her if she was okay and in reply to his question she said, “yes I am OK”. The man stared at her continuously, in context to this she said, “I was afraid. I was paranoid.”

Further, she said, “when he got up, something told me to get up, start walking don’t look back.” Then the man started following her. Then she said, in this situation, I need to pull out my phone and start recording for evidence. Later when she turned right, the man stopped following her.
She realized that the man was homeless after a few days. She said, “the thing was I did not know he was homeless. I was told in the comment section that people know him or see him in Union Square a lot.”
