Social media users have now been flooded with videos showing Salt Bae being snubbed by Messi while trying to snap a selfie with him following the FIFA finals. After the World Cup, Turkish Chef Nusret Gökçe, better known online as Salt Bae, attempts to shake Messi’s hand in a viral video. In an attempt to get the footballer’s attention, the celebrity chef even grabbed his shoulder. Salt Bae then posted a TikTok video showing him on the pitch next to Angel Di Mar*a while holding the trophy. As the chef walks away from the trophy, he smiles and slaps it.
In another picture, he is shown biting Franco Armani’s gold first-place medal while it is still around his neck. It did not impress fans that Salt Bae participated in Argentina’s celebrations. There were numerous questions raised about why he was allowed to hold the trophy and enter the stadium. The tweet went like this: Messi at least knew not to pay attention to that guy who was trying to make HIS moment all about him. Trying desperately to grab Messi.
