King Charles is currently going viral on social media for his hilariously quick-witted response when someone asked him to go for a beer.

Here is everything you need to know.

King Charles’s epic reaction when a fan invited him for a beer

A TikTok user recently shared a video reminding people of King Charles’ funny personality.

The clip was filmed during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in July when he was still Prince Charles. However, the video is going viral after his royal ascension to the throne last week following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

In the 14-second video, the royal is seen waving to the crowd when a man identified as Daniel Walker blurts out, ‘Charles, do you want to go for a beer?’

Nevertheless, Charles seemed slightly confused as he said, ‘What?’

However, Walker was undeterred as he repeated his unconventional request.

At this point, the prince’s eyes twinkled as he cheekily responded with, ‘Where?’

Regardless, the unscripted moment left the crowd and the future King in chuckles.

The aforementioned video has currently been viewed by more than 8 million viewers with almost 3 thousand comments.

Meanwhile, Walker talked about the funny exchange after it went viral.

He said, ‘People don’t see all the good things he’s done, as they’re always looking for the negative — but I’ve got a lot of respect for him.’

Moreover, he added, ‘I hope he’s still up for that pint, as it’d be unbelievable.’

Fans react to King Charles’s witty exchange

Many people believe that King Charles’s retort proved that he is a man of people instead of a ‘pampered prince’. They took to social media to fawn over the viral clip.

One fan wrote, ‘The future king has time for people.’

Furthermore, another digital supporter chimed in saying, ‘Love seeing some humanity in him, very quick good to see.’

A newfound fan on the other hand declared, ‘He’s winning me over.’

Meanwhile, few users recalled having a similar informal exchange with the monarch.

A user noted, ‘Fortunate enough to have met him twice and in private he’s so down to earth and funny.’

Someone else commented, ‘He’s really funny! Met him when I was 17 and asked if I could marry one of his sons. He said “take your pick.”‘

While a different user compared his response to the late queen’s legendary wit and said, ‘He has the same sense of humor as his mum.’
