The comment section under the YouTube video has been turned off. The short video consisted of snippets from Depp’s older interviews.
Additionally, the video only came with the headline of the verdict being overturned. No further information or details of the same was mentioned.
Regardless, many users believed the news to be true hence it received more than a million views on the platform. However, it has been confirmed th at the clips are doctored.
As stated above, the jury’s verdict was not overturned. However, Heard’s attorney has said that they would be appealing to the court. In simple terms, it means they would ask the higher court to investigate the case to ensure that the decision was made fairly.

Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation case final verdict
On Wednesday, a seven-person jury unanimously voted in support of Johnny Depp. He was awarded $15 million in punitive damages.
The jury also found one statement made by Depp’s former lawyer to be defamatory. Hence, the Aquaman actress should receive $2 million in compensatory damages.

Amber Heard to appeal the verdict
Amber Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, featured on NBC’s Today and confirmed that her client ‘absolutely’ intends to appeal.
Bredehoft mentioned, ‘She has some excellent grounds for it. There was so much evidence that did not come in.’
According to Deadline, Bredehoft also claimed during the interview that the evidentiary decisions and the influence of social media played a major role in the verdict of the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation case.
As of now, it remains unclear when Heard will appeal to the court since Bredehoft did not mention any other details.
