Who was Billy Kametz?
Billy Kametz, a well-known anime and video game voice actor, has died of colorectal cancer, according to reports. He was 35 years old at the time. For playing Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Kametz received Best Voice Actor Performance (EN) at the 4th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2019. Boruto, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Beastars, Aggretsuko, Pokémon Journeys, and Neon Genesis Evangelion are just a few of the prominent anime that Kametz has voiced. In addition to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Persona 5 Royal, One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, and Triangle Strategy, the gifted actor has also voiced roles in a number of notable video games.

Kametz was up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and had always aspired to be an actress, according to reports. Billy Kametz was cast as Aladdin in Disneyland’s Musical Spectacular in California after performing with Disney’s crew line. Kametz began his successful voice acting career while residing in California. Kametz had his own YouTube channel. And in an April video, he revealed that he was suffering from stage 4 colon cancer.

Billy Kametz stated in the video that his health will force him to drop out of projects
The voice actor indicated in the video that his health will compel him to withdraw from several prospective projects. “If you guys could do me a favour. Anyone who is replacing me on any show, if you could just please. It’s such a strange thing for an actor to have to do. if you could just please support the crap out of them and be their biggest cheerleader, that would make me really, really happy,” Kametz continued.
“With immense and deep grief. We must notify you of the loss of @BillyKametz,” said Point of Contact in a tweet announcing Kametz’s death. “Billy loved his fans so much, and I realise this is a tremendous shock,” the agency said in a second tweet. Please look after yourselves. Breathe. You’re a part of his legacy, and he’d like to hear you’re doing well.”
Kametz is survived by his parents. William and Cheryl, his sister, Nikki Kametz Lees, and her two boys, as well as his beloved partner. Voice actor Erica Lindbeck. The popular voice actor has also left a legacy of followers who will never forget the joy he gave to the globe via his abilities. On June 15, a memorial service for Billy Kametz. Will be conduct in Pennsylvania.
