Valkyrae took to Twitter to make a shocking move post Addison Rae’s announcement of the launch of her skincare product. Addison Rae launched a new skincare product that protects young people from blue light. A few months back, Valkyrae did the same thing and received severe criticisms for the same.
Valkyrae Stunned At Addison Rae Launches Her New Product
In October 2021, Valkyrae launched a new product, namely RFLCT. The primary aim of the skincare product was to protect young people from blue light pollution. She was really looking forward to the launch of her new product. However, her new product became the subject of severe criticism and backlash.
Ultimately, the backlash led to the cancellation of the products. It was even taken down from the shelves. Months later following the incident, Addison Rae followed her footsteps and launched a very similar product, called Screen Break.
Addison Rae’s announcement left Valkyrae really perplexed, stunned, and frustrated. She even took to Twitter and said, “IM REBRANDING TO JUST VALKY LOL HOW IS THIS REAL?!” Moreover, she revealed that it wouldn’t surprise her if Addison’s product was of the very same company.
Valkyrae Changes Her Name To Just Valky
In addition, she even changed her name to JUST VALKY on Twitter, as she dropped the ‘Rae’ she shared with Addison. This was a joke regarding the entire situation. It highlighted how Valkyrae and Addison Rae shared similar names and are in similar situations. Several users even mentioned that the advertisements of Addison’s product resembles that of Valkyrae’s product.
Although, the primary question still remains why didn’t Addison’s product receive the same kind of reactions as Valkyrae’s product. Valkyrae’s move is, however, understandable. Since she spent so much time and effort building the RFLCT brand, it’s justified that she might feel displeased as another entrepreneur becomes successful while following her exact footsteps.
Addison Rae has not commented about the entire situation as of now. Meanwhile, one can purchase her product ‘Screen Break’ from Sephora’s official website, priced at $20 for a 3.2 oz bottle.
