Subsequently, this move mandates that individuals need to subscribe to Twitter Blue, Twitter’s subscription service, in order to retain these checkmarks.
Furthermore, Musk took to Twitter to announce the last date when they will begin removing the legacy Blue checks.
He said, ‘Final date for removing legacy Blue checks is 4/20.’

Nevertheless, Musk has opted to switch to a paid verification system in order to receive much-needed revenue.
Twitter revealed in a statement, ‘A company can affiliate their leadership, brands, support handles, employees, or teams. A government can affiliate its precincts, officials, or their other entities.’
They continued, ‘There is no limit to the number of affiliates an organization can have, or who they can affiliate (as long as they are related).’
