Twitch Streamer aSpicyCow Discovers Mold in Lunchly Package During Livestream
3 min readA Twitch streamer known as aSpicyCow recently made headlines after discovering mold in a Lunchly package during a live stream. The shocking moment, which was captured on camera, has since gone viral across social media platforms. This incident adds to the growing list of complaints about the controversial Lunchly brand, which has been under fire since its launch earlier this year.
Lunchly, a pre-packaged lunchbox brand backed by popular figures like MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI, has been embroiled in several issues, with multiple customers reporting mold in their products. Notably, other internet personalities such as DogPag404 and Rosanna Pansino have also raised similar concerns, further fueling the controversy surrounding the brand.
The viral clip of aSpicyCow’s discovery has been shared extensively on platforms like Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage from users who criticized Lunchly’s quality control. In the video, the streamer is visibly shocked as they uncover the mold, saying:
“No way! What! Chat, there is actually mold. That’s 100% mold.”
This is disgusting.
I was filming a video comparing Lunchables to Lunchly and was shocked when I opened ‘The Pizza’ Lunchly. The cheese had MOLD!
The expiration date was still 2 months away! I checked online and found at least a dozen other people posting that their Lunchly’s… pic.twitter.com/PxWhFL1jRa— Rosanna Pansino (@RosannaPansino) October 20, 2024Advertisement
Streamer’s Experiment Confirms Mold Claims
During the livestream, aSpicyCow explained the reasoning behind the Lunchly-focused stream. They stated that they wanted to test the claims made by other creators, including Rosanna Pansino, who had previously reported mold in Lunchly products. To investigate, aSpicyCow went through several Lunchly boxes live on stream to verify the issue firsthand.
After opening multiple boxes, the streamer eventually found mold in the 22nd package. Pointing out the mold to their viewers, aSpicyCow provided a close-up of what appeared to be mold on a piece of cheese sealed within the package. In disbelief, they commented:
“I am so sorry, do you see it right there? Sealed and it’s molded. I am not lying dude. Don’t open it yet, don’t open it yet. That is 100% mold. No way, dude!”
Following the livestream, aSpicyCow took to X to share their thoughts on the experiment. They explained that their goal was to verify the claims made by Rosanna Pansino and others, as they initially doubted the legitimacy of the accusations. In their post, they wrote:
“The whole reason I did this is because I did NOT believe the original source as she was clearly biased against MrBeast. So I wanted answers and bought every Lunchly I could find. I didn’t expect mold, but I found mold.”
Growing Criticism of Lunchly
This latest incident has only intensified criticism towards Lunchly, with consumers voicing concerns over the safety and quality of the product. Despite the mounting backlash, none of the high-profile creators associated with Lunchly, including MrBeast, Logan Paul, or KSI, have addressed the issue publicly.
With the controversy continuing to grow, all eyes are on Lunchly’s next move, as customers and fans await a response to these disturbing findings.
