Twitch streamer Din “Agent 00” found himself in an unexpected and alarming situation when he got into a car crash during a live broadcast. On August 4, 2024, Agent 00 and his friends were hosting an IRL (In Real Life) stream from New York City, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city while gearing up to watch the MLB game between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The incident occurred around the four-hour mark of the broadcast. The stream showed Agent 00 and his friends conversing inside their car when suddenly, a loud crash interrupted their conversation. The group was visibly taken aback and immediately began to assess what had happened.
Upon investigation, they discovered that a silver-colored 2020 Dodge Journey had collided with the driver’s side door of their Chevrolet Tahoe. Clearly frustrated and shocked by the situation, Agent 00 expressed his disbelief, noting that this was the second time he had experienced a car accident on stream:
“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Nah, come on, na! Back to back, bro? Back to back, n
The severity of the crash became apparent when the cameraman panned to show the front of the Dodge Journey, which had sustained considerable damage. One of Agent 00’s friends confronted the driver of the SUV, emphasizing the importance of careful driving, especially near a park:
“Nah, you good, bro? Slow down! There’s a park for kids! You’ve got to be aware! Look at the door (of the streamer’s Chevrolet Tahoe). What the fk is going on? Look at the door, though! You’ve got insurance? Nah, you’ve got to have full coverage, bro. That st is not even funny, bro.”
Agent 00 then inspected his vehicle and elaborated on the damage sustained. He pointed out multiple issues, including significant scratches on the bumper and potential damage to the fender that might require replacement:
“I’m in the body shop all the time. Look what happened, though. There’s a bunch of issues. Now look at the bumper, the bumper has got scratches on it, you’ve got to buff it out and repaint it. This (the fender) seems like it’s doable. You might have to replace this fender protection depending on your body damage, but it looks good.”
However, the most severe damage was to the door of the Chevrolet Tahoe, which Agent 00 declared “cooked” and likely needing a complete replacement:
“This door is cooked! This door is cooked! This door is f**ked, you need a brand new door. This door is completely cooked, it might cost a couple of thousands for the door.”
The incident left the streaming group shaken, yet they managed to maintain a level of composure while addressing the aftermath of the crash. Fans and viewers who were tuned into the live stream witnessed the entire incident, sparking a wave of reactions on social media. Many expressed concern for the streamer and his friends, while others commented on the unpredictability of live streaming in real-world settings.
Agent 00’s experience serves as a stark reminder of the unexpected events that can occur during live broadcasts and the importance of safety and awareness while streaming IRL content.
