Travis Scott’s Coney Island concert saw a man in a Spider-man costume climbing the truss
3 min readTravis Scott’s July 4 performance in Coney Island, New York, had to be stopped after several concertgoers scaled the metal truss framework. Three participants were seen climbing the truss in videos from The Day Party event at The Coney Art Walls, with one of the people engaging in risky antics while upside-down on the structure.
Scott paused the performance of his song “Anecdote” and asked the audience to leave the building. As the rapper continued to urge the crowd to exit the structure and return to the permitted viewing area, the music to the song was later completely switched off.
Scott’s actions follow several accusations of irresponsibility about the Astroworld Concert from the rapper last year. Many said that Scott carried on performing at the Houston, Texas music festival in 2021 even though people were being crushed underfoot. Ten concertgoers lost their lives, while a large number of others were injured.
At Travis Scott’s Coney Island performance, a man dressed as Spider-Man was spotted ascending the truss
At least three concertgoers may be seen standing up on the metal truss framework around the stage in the concert’s video. According to reports, one of the people who scaled the building was wearing a Spider-Man costume. The risk to safety was raised by the fact that the person was lying on the truss upside down.
Contrary to his reported actions during the contentious Astroworld concert that took place eight months ago, Travis Scott was fast to end his performance. The 31-year-old Houston native ordered his followers to “get down” from the structure in the middle of his performance in one of the videos that were recorded during the Coney Island gig.
Travis Scott is also heard stating this in one of the videos:
“Aye yo, my bro, my brother — just make sure you’re okay though, my brother. You hear me?”
He could also be heard speaking to the audience members who scaled the truss, telling them:
“If that s**t collapses, bro, it will be a bad vibe. We do not need that right now… We gotta get down, we gotta get down.”
He also questioned the viewers’ well-being in the video. If they were okay, the Mamacita rapper requested them to give him a “hell yeah.” Travis Scott further requested the audience to move back two feet to allow them space before the show started up again. Once everyone who had ascended the scaffolding of the truss had descended from the structure, the show began again.

Another said that Travis Scott stopped performing yesterday night at Coney Island because two fans were hanging from a truss. One individual was dressed as Spider-Man. Travis seems to have taken a lesson from the Astroworld Festival criticism.
Bro didn't want the same outcome as the last rolling loud he did 💀
