Rapper Travis Scott has privately settled a lawsuit with the family of an Astroworld casualty. The 31-year-old rapper was headlining a concert at the Astroworld Festival in his hometown of Houston, Texas in November 2021 when a mass crowd crush killed 10 individuals close to the front of the stage. Travis Scott, alongside promoters Live Nation, is said to have arrived at a settlement with respect to the demise of Axel Acosta, the ‘beloved son’ of the Acosta family, who died at 21 years old. Without revealing the conditions of the settlement, lawyer Tony Buzbee composed on Instagram, ‘The Buzbee Law firm announced that the cases brought by the family of Axel Acosta against Travis Scott, Live Country, and others engaged with the Astroworld misfortune have settled.
