Tiwa Savage, The Songwriter Finally Speaks Out After Leaked Sex Tape

Tiwa savage, the Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor recently breaked her silence after the leak of the sex tape of her and her boyfriend. 

Tiwa savage (41yr old) is a talented singer who started rising to fame in 2013. She is the first female artist to be nominated for BET awards. She has also won the Channel O music award in the best female category. Besides winning so many awards she has funded youth empowerment and breast cancer projects too. 

Her career has now taken a turn after the shocking incident that occurred on Monday night. 

Apparently the afrobeat singer was being blackmailed with the tape last week as she told American OAP Angie Martinez of 105.1 on 8th October 2021and she urged her fans to not give attention to such videos. Meanwhile the video got leaked on Monday, 21 October 2021.

The varied reactions 

After the video went viral there have been a lot of speculations. Not only did Tiwa receive huge backlashes from the Nigerian community while people called it highly inappropriate. Some even labeled it as a publicity stunt she might have done to gather attention to her new releases. Even Nigerian celebrities seem to have responded differently on the incident.  Some celebrities took the singer’s side , popular Nigerian actress Georgina said that Tiwa savage did not commit a crime to get such enormous hate . She also said that she stans Tiwa. Harrysong and Mercy Aigbe have also come to savage’s rescue. While Daddy Freeze, Nigerian broadcaster and talk show host also addressed his opinion. He said that he’s finding it hard to maintain the same respect for the singer.

With such unexpected responses, Tiwa savage was quiet and didn’t make an official comment regarding the matter until now. Even though she did not directly address the issue but posted a picture on Instagram with a perplex caption that said, “ Charge that sh*t to the game and never speak on it again.” She might be indirectly asking her fans to move on from the issue and not repeatedly speak of it. She still hasn’t officially discussed the matter yet and might not be discussing it in the near future .
