Tim Donnelly, ‘Emergency!’ Actor Dies at the Age of 77

Tim Donnelly, particularly noted for his role as entertaining fireman Chet Kelly on NBC’s Emergency! throughout the 1970s, has died. He was certainly 77 years old at the time.

The Los Angeles County Fire Museum verified the tragedy in a memorial on their Facebook Account. However, the manner of death is not revealed.

“It is with great regret that we share the news of our friend Tim Donnelly’s untimely death this weekend. We certainly wanted to let all of the Emergency! supporters know that he has been extremely enthusiastic about visiting to the Museum in Jan for the fiftieth Anniversary,”. A spokeswoman stated. “From our indeed experience on Project 51 and interactions, several of the Museum Members Of the board have fond recollections of Tim. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his daughter, grandkids, and relatives.”

Who was Tim Donnelly?

Donnelly has been born on September 3, 1944. Making his movie debut in Don Siegel’s 1957 crime thriller Baby Face Nelson. He goes on to have a 27-year presence on the big screen. Nevertheless, between 1972 and 1977, he featured in all six seasons of the action-comedy Emergency!, which followed the personnel of Los Angeles County Firefighting Station 51.

Moreover, with special guest appearances in The Legend of Jesse James, The Virginian, the original Hawaii, B.K. and the Bear, Enos, Vega$, and CHiPs, the performer continued to occur on the programs Dragnet 1967 and Project UFO. His final performance was in a 1984 episode of The A-Team.

Donnelly was additionally featured in Christian Nyby’s WWII drama First to Fight. Stanley Kramer’s The Secret of Santa Vittoria, his sibling Dennis Donnelly’s horror movie The Toolbox Murders, and Robert S. Fiveson’s genre-bender The Clonus Horror on the big screen.

Donnelly is accompanied by his sibling Dennis, Kathleen and daughter Ashley, and two grandchildren. According to the LA County Fire Museum. However, there are no preparations for a monument as of yet.
