TikTok influencer QCP recently was arrested for allegedly driving in a stolen U-Haul vehicle.

Here is everything you need to know.

TikTok star QCP alleged charges explored

The Los Angeles police department recently reported that QCP was recently taken into custody for felony possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to reports, QCP was pulled over by the authorities after the cops ran the plates and found that the U-Haul he has been driving around was stolen.

Moreover, QCP insisted that he had borrowed the vehicle from a friend.

However, law enforcement revealed that the van was reported stolen after someone rented it and never returned it. In addition, they ghosted the rental car company.

Meanwhile, the social media influencer was arrested and booked. Subsequently, he was released on $25,000 bail.

In the meantime, no charges have been filed against him as of now. Also, it is unlikely that he will face any charges considering he did not rent the van in the first place. Additionally, he has no past records of cruising in stolen vehicles.

QCP’s fans and friends on the other hand are confident that the case against him will be dropped soon.

A friend of QCP said that one of his roommates was meant to pay for the U-Haul but did not deliver the payment on time. Regardless, the roommate has reportedly settled the amount.

Moreover, a representative of QCP claimed that the TikTok star was helping a friend move his stuff. He was not aware that the U-Haul has been reported stolen.

QCP faced backlash over racist remarks

While QCP was gradually rising to fame on TikTok it was short-lived when fans started noticing his old videos where he is supposedly making stereotypical comments.

He faced tons of backlash on social media for the resurfacing posts. Although he apologized for his past mistakes, the users didn’t seem to forgive him soon.

QCP talked about the criticism he is receiving during an interview with NJ.com.

He said, ‘I posted a video doing impersonations of different races. The impersonations are really exaggerated and honestly offensive. At the time I would post 20 videos a day, impulsively, not even thinking about what I was doing. I clearly wasn’t thinking that anyone would be offended. I completely understand why it was too extreme.’

Moreover, the 22-year-old celebrity further explained that he is, ‘not racist at all. I don’t know why one video has to define me like that.’
