Sioux Falls Cop Delivers Food After Arresting Doordash Driver Video

An officer from the South Dakota police department surprised Anastasia Elsinger with a DoorDash order from Arby’s. A viral TikTok video featuring a Ring camera shows a Sioux Falls police officer saying that they arrested her DoorDash driver for his failure to comply with warrants.

“I know I’m not who you’re expecting, but your driver got arrested,” said the officer. “So I figured I’d bring the DoorDash to you.”

The 24-year-old resident figured that the police might have stopped her DoorDash driver a few blocks away from her house. However, after seeing police lights, she assumed that the authorities arrested him. Meanwhile, Elsinger was under the impression that the arrest may either delay or even cancel her Arby’s order. Consequently, she went inside after waiting for a few minutes.

The gesture took Elsinger by a pleasant surprise. She thanked the officer as she accepted her order. She revealed to Argus Leader that she definitely wasn’t expecting a cop to show up at her door with her order.

The video received more than 10 million views and 4 million likes on TikTok as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Sam Buhr, the officer who delivered the order has become very popular by the gesture. The police department is well aware of the same. In addition, the police spokesman Sam Clemens appreciated the gesture by the officer as well. The officer was moonlighting while on duty as a DoorDash worker, Clemens joked.

However, he revealed that this was not normal by any stretch. Helping people like this goes above and beyond the call of duty. Even then, when people go the extra mile to help each other out, it makes a big difference.
