The legal battle between Johnny Depp and his former wife Amber Heard has become the most talked-about celebrity story of the year.

After three weeks of testimony, the defamation trial held in Fairfax County Courthouse, Virginia is going on a break for little more than a week.

The trial started earlier this year on 11th April.  People have been camping outside the court in the hopes of watching the trial live even though it has been telecasted daily from Monday to Friday.

Heard took the stand for the first time last week. She accused Depp of several instances of assaults. Depp denied all her claims.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star has filed a $50 million suit against Heard over an op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post in 2018. After the post, Depp lost nearly $40 million and was dropped from Pirates of the Caribbean as well as the Fantastic Beast series.
