Shane Dawson is a YouTuber. He was entangled in many controversies. On 7th October, he shared a video on his official channel of YouTube that he is coming back on it. People are not happy about it nor they are excited. So, the question arises Why Shane Dawson was canceled? What did he do?
Why was Shane Dawson Cancelled?
Before entangling in so many controversies, Shane was a popular influential YouTuber. He was criticized for making the wrong sign on the poster of Willow Smith.
Even Jada Smith wrote on Twitter about Shane Dawson. She tweeted, “ I’m done with the excuses.”
YouTubers are also involved in many controversies. He used to make stupid jokes about blackface, racism, and many more. People started pointing out the jokes that he used to make. Later on, he said sorry and deleted all the rubbish content that he made. That’s not the end of his controversy. He did so many things that’s why people don’t like him.
Shane Dawson was also charged with manipulation by influencers. Tati Westbrook and Kameron Lester, later on, decided to cut ties with Shane.
He did Instagram Livestream so as to accuse Tati of “fake crying” and also to justify his part in the story. However, all these actions contributed only to make things worse and acted like fuel to this burning issue.
Another renowned scandal that surrounded Shane was a matter related to his cat. Jokes made by him involving the sexual assault of his pet became a big issue. But later on, he turned to the denial mode and gave a clarification on this issue.
Almost one year he escape from YouTube. In June 2021, he declared that he’s returning to YouTube. The audience isn’t happy about it after listening to this.
Twitter isn’t happy about Shane Dawson’s comeback
Shane Dawson apologized in the past and said sorry to the audience. He’s apologizing yet again but people aren’t ready to forgive him. He also assured me that he’s changed and he’s not the one who used to make bad comments and jokes. The audience doesn’t want him to see on YouTube again.
One tweeted on Twitter that, “ Evocating of Shane Dawson or Shane Dawson evocating us.”
Another person tweeted, ” he uploaded as nothing had happened? Seriously?”
One tweeted, “Shane Dawson had done so many disgusting things in the past and doesn’t even learn from it. We know that people learn from their mistakes. His mindset of considering the past self as another separate person made him feel that he is not at all responsible for all his weird and disgusting activities”.

Viewers viewed his brand new video on YouTube more than 650,000 times within four hours. He said, I know I did wrong things in the past but I apologize for it.
All the things that I did isn’t acceptable. But I know people will say that I’m doing this for sympathy which is not true. This is a reality and I have to accept it anyway. I know people don’t like me or even hate me.
He added to his statement, that I learned so much and made so much development. But something in me was upset. Now, I’m canceled all over things that I did in the past. It made me realize that I shouldn’t focus on what other people think of me. They will go to judge me no matter what. I’m glad about all the things that happened to me.
Also, he added that after leaving Los Angeles, he shifted into a new house in Colorado with his family.
