Old Gays: Four elderly gay men have won everyone’s heart on TikTok. Tiktok has brought fame to many people, be it Addison Rae, Noah Beck, or Charlie D’Amelio. Now it’s the funny skits by these elderly men that people can’t help but adore.
The men claim that they’re not involved romantically but are really good friends. Although they started in 2018, they’ve gained popularity now. Over three million people seem to love their display of friendship on social media platforms.
About “The Old Gays”
The Old Gays group has four members, Robert Reeves (78), Bill Lyons (77), Jessay Martin (68), and Mick Peterson (65). All four friends are from Cathedral City, California.
In their videos, we see them hanging out, dancing, performing skits, and taking part in fun challenges. They also give their fans life lessons and advice and sometimes joke that they invented “being gay”.

They rose to fame last year and have been growing since then.

On the Today show, they talked about how much they enjoy each other’s friendship. They were neighbours before they became best friends.
While talking about their purpose, Bill Lyons, one of the members said, “What we’re educating people on is that 60 years ago, coming out was a real struggle.”

Talking of his experience after TikTok made them famous, Jessay said, “I sing at this church and all of a sudden they started coming up to me and they were like, ‘We saw you!’ It’s allowed me to come out and be more me and not worry what people are thinking.”
They still cannot believe that people have loved them so much.
In an interview, they also revealed that when they read the comments under some of their TikTok, they’re overwhelmed to see that the young generation considers them an icon and inspiration.
The Old Gays’ Tiktoks have brought them to the notice of celebrities like Rihanna, Bebe Rexha, Lance Bass and Jenna Bush Hager.
People love their fun videos and fans have given them the name of the next ‘Golden Girls’.

Documentary On The Way-
It was also revealed that a documentary on the lives of these four friends is being prepared. The CEO of Brian Garden Media said that they are thrilled to be working with this friend group. “Their videos resonate with audiences young and old alike, and viewers have shown extreme interest in seeing their lives on a more personal level, which we intend to deliver upon,” he added.
