David Koechner’s L.A arrest
This is not the first time David Koechner has been caught drinking under the influence.
Back on New Year’s Eve, the comedian was charged with DUI and hit-and-run in Simi Valley, California.
The law officials reported that before crashing his car, Koechner blew a .13 BAC in the field and a .12 again at the station.
Ventura County Police motioned that both counts would be mentioned as misdemeanors.
Koechner’s estranged wife filed legal documents after his Los Angeles arrest. She asked that his visitation with their five kids be temporarily suspended. She further mentioned that ‘safeguards be put in place to ensure (Koechner’s) sobriety.’
According to TMZ, Koechner could be behind the bars for six months for each charge.
He could also be mandated to finish an alcohol education course.
The actor is recognized for his role in the Anchorman movies as Champ Kind.
He featured for less than 15 episodes in the nine seasons of the American sitcom The Office. However, he rapidly became one of the likable characters in the show.
In 2013, Koechner mentioned in an interview with CBS, ‘After I did one or two episodes of that show it became the second thing everyone put when they referenced me.’
He added, ‘Over seven years, I think I only did 14 episodes — like two a year. That character is so memorable.’
Moreover, he appeared in movies such as Waiting… and Talladega Nights.
