It seems like Teyana Taylor has shown her DIY moment at the Met Gala 2023. However, it was not something to do with fashion but instead food.

Pusha T jokes about Teyana Taylor eating fast food at Met Gala

On 1st May, numerous celebrities attended the Met Gala 2023 which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Although the night is assumed to be one of the biggest nights for fashion, one celebrity believed it to be the biggest night for fast food.

Moreover, Teyana Taylor who is known for her performance in ‘A Thousand And One’ also attended this year’s exhibition.

In addition, she was one of designer Thom Browne’s invitees including Jenna Ortega, Olivia Rodrigo, Janelle Monáe, Alexander Skarsgård, and Pusha T.

Meanwhile, Taylor has worn a custom backless jacket with cutouts in gold, black, and silver. Additionally, she completed her outfit with a matching drop-waist skirt.

Regardless, multiple Instagram accounts of celebrities have claimed that Taylor was accompanied by a Chick-Fil-A takeout meal.

Pusha T, Taylor’s table mate at the event, jokingly called her out on his official social media account.

He wrote, ‘Teyana Taylor is embarrassing me. She brought (Chick-fil-A) to the #MetGala. I want her away from me… #HARLEM.’

Furthermore, in the picture we can see Taylor’s plate seemed to be filled with chicken strips, waffle potato fries, and dipping sauce.

Other instances of celebrities talking about the food at the Met Gala

There have been some instances in the past where celebrities have spoken about the menus at the Met Gala. A couple of celebrities said that the meal options were scarce.

Tiffany Haddish claimed that she snuck her home-cooked chicken inside her purse in May 2019 as there ‘wasn’t enough food’ at the 2018 Met Gala.

She said, ‘I’m expecting a few good drinks, wonderful art collections, really great conversations with some friends, and if the food is not what I need it to be, I went ahead and I brought some chicken.’

Mike Hartman, a head dinner server at the 2018 Met Gala on the other hand mentioned that celebrities occasionally leave food on their plates during the event.

He stated They all were just talking, networking, and enjoying each other’s company. I don’t think anyone really comes for the meal — but the food was delicious!’

He continued, ‘Guests usually even waived ‘no thank you’ to us before we served. So we didn’t serve as much food as we could have. I’m sure they ate more at the cocktail hour with the hors d’oeuvres.’
