Fans were amazed when Taylor Swift dived headfirst into the stage and swam during her first Eras tour performance. Over the weekend, she launched her long-awaited Eras tour in Arizona. Fans weren’t just talking about Taylor Swift’s 44-song set, as the star certainly brought theatrics to the performance. While performing, Anti-Hero, 33, dives head-first off the stage and exits through a gap in the floor. In a stunning display of an extravagant disappearance, Taylor left the audience in awe, and many shared their shock via social media. As fans tweeted about the moment, one even joked that the multi-award-winning star was now aiming for an Olympic medal. The first two performances of Taylor’s tour were held in Arizona on Friday and Saturday, with many audience members capturing the dive on camera. The country-turned-pop star was seen walking towards a rectangular gap in the stage while wearing a flowing dress. Afterwards, she gets into a proper diving form before jumping through the stage in a structured manner. During the dive, a splashing sound effect is heard over the stadium and a graphic of her swimming underneath the stage is projected on the ground before she returns to the stage to sing songs from her Midnights album.

With over three hours of singing each night, she’s certainly making it worth fans’ while too as she performs 44 songs each night. It’s no surprise Taylor’s set list is so long since she’s been busy since she last performed in 2018, shortly after releasing Reputation. She has since released Lover, Folklore, and Evermore, as well as re-recording Red and Fearless. Glendale, Arizona, was glad to be picked as the area to start off Taylor’s tour – with the Mayor even, renaming it ‘Swift City’ for the weekend in her honour.
